Aircraft Mechanic

1. Reports to:

a. Supervisor at stations where assigned.

b. The Maintenance Manager at lesser stations.

2. Must demonstrate he/she meets the experience requirements of FAR 65.83

3. Has one + years of heavy transport experience (B747-400)

4. Has previously performed that particular work on that type aircraft (FAR 65.81) and it has been recorded

5. Mechanic duties shall consist of, but not limited to, performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, engines, component parts, and related equipment as performed at line stations, major stations, and shops.

6. Mechanics are required to be able to read and understand current instructions of applicable manufacturer and company maintenance manuals for the specific operation concerned. (FAR 65.81).

7. Mechanics are required to remove and replace, repair, rig, inspect, and/or test systems or component parts in accordance with approved or accepted data and to sign for the work performed. Mechanics must be mechanically skilled and capable of performing their work to meet the airworthiness standards of the FAA and the production requirements of the company.

8. Mechanics will perform the work as assigned by a lead mechanic, maintenance controller and/or manager. The work assignments may be in the form of verbal orders or in the form of logbook entries, forms, work documents, non-routine cards or other documentation. All work and inspections will be recorded.

9. The mechanic is responsible for completing a written turnover log of all pertinent information recording the status of any uncompleted work. If station supervisor is taking responsibility for the turnover, the mechanic shall ensure the Supervisor is made aware of all pertinent details for the turnover. (FAR 121.369(b)(9).

10. The Mechanic will be required to acquire and maintain an adequate supply of commonly used hand tools. The Director of Maintenance can be consulted for a list of these required tools. The Company will supply all necessary large or specialized tools and test equipment.

Overall Responsibilities

The First Officer shall serve as Second in Command (SIC) on SKYLEASE flights requiring two pilot crewmembers and should be prepared to assume the duties of the PIC should the PIC become incapacitated.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- An appropriate pilot type rating for the aircraft in which he/she is serving. (FAR 61.55 (a))

- First Class FAA Medical Certificate valid within 12 months. A First Officer over age 60 must have a valid First-Class FAA medical certificate valid within 6 months.

- FCC Radiotelephone Permit

- Certification of Training: Initial, Recurrent, Proficiency Checks, Differences, and Upgrade.

- Operating Experience Record.

- Recent Experience: 3 required takeoffs and landings within a 90 day period (FAR 121.439) and current qualification on the aircraft.

- Must not have reached his 65th birthday, if performing required flight crewmember duties under FAR Part 121. (FAR 121.383 (c))

- The individuals who serve in the positions required by under part FAR 119.65 and persons who exercise operational control must be qualified through training, experience and expertise and must have full understanding of the following:

Aviation safety standards, safe operating practices, 14CFR's, operations specifications, all appropriate maintenance requirements and company manuals.
Discharge their duties to meet applicable legal requirements and to maintain safe operations.
The individuals who serve in the positions required under part FAR 119.65 must comply with FAR 119.65(d)

Minimum Requirements:

- Minimum of 1500 hours total time

-500 hours multi engine PIC

-High Scholl Diploma

-First Class FAA Medical

-ICAO Level 5 English

-Willing to travel domestic and international.

Preferred Requirements:

-FAA ATP

-5,000 hours total time

-1,000 hours part 121 SIC or PIC in glass cockpit transport category turbine airplanes

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.

Maintenance Controller

The Maintenance Controller reports to the Maintenance Manager

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE MAINTENANCE CONTROLLER

a. Hold a valid FAA Mechanic's Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings. FAR 121.378

b. To the extent of the responsibility of the position, meet the requirements of FAR 119.65(d)

c. Hold Company Airworthiness Release Authority for at least one of the aircraft types operated.

d. Successfully completed the Maintenance Controller's training course, or the OJT equivalent, described in the Maintenance Training Manual Chapter 2.

e. The Maintenance Controller is responsible for overseeing the normal daily operations of the Maintenance Department to ensure the aircraft are maintained in an airworthy condition.

f. The authority of the Maintenance Controller is derived from the Maintenance Manager and the Director of Maintenance.

JOB DESCRIPTION

a. Serve as the liaison between Maintenance and the other operating departments.

b. Serve as the point of contact and as the approval authority for all Deferred Maintenance Items (DMI) being issued ensuring that all required steps have been taken in accordance with the established procedures.

c. Ensure that DMl's are only issued when all other resources are exhausted.

d. Responsible for all line maintenance activities related to aircraft airworthiness.

The Maintenance Controller is required to:

a. Advise the Director of Maintenance, the Director of Quality Control, the Maintenance Manager and System Operations of

any maintenance problem that has airworthiness implications and/or involves flight delays or cancellations.

b. Ensure that no Company aircraft are dispatched on a flight that may exceed any inspection due time in accordance with the Operations Specifications.

Responsibilities

a. Review all logbook entries submitted by line stations and direct the best course of action for troubleshooting and return of the aircraft to an airworthy status.

b. Assist line maintenance personnel via telephone/Email during the troubleshooting.

c. Evaluate troubleshooting reports for logical sequence of events and timely completion of corrective actions.

d. Review all requirements for Tech Data to ensure that the Matrix Manual has been consulted to determine the modification status of the system being worked and the proper manual references are utilized.

e. Determine if any maintenance activities qualify as Rll and, if so, inform the station of this matter.

f. Maintain the Maintenance Control turnover log for all work in progress, action taken, instructions given, information received, and details of any special work projects. (FAR 121.369(b).

g. Coordinate with the oncoming Mx Controller and discuss the status of each aircraft as recorded in the turnover log .

h. When incidents occur, ensure that proper forms are completed. (MIS).

i. Supply an DMI Management Report (Form KYE 1369) to the Director of QC and to Operations on a daily basis.

j. Complete a written Daily Workload form (KYE 7147) to each station performing maintenance to include DMI and scheduled inspections and checks and transmit to the station. Discuss work requirements with station personnel.

k. When the Daily Workload form is faxed back from the station, review it for completion of all assigned work.

l. Review all faxed copies of the aircraft logbook pages for proper entries IAW the GMM procedures. Ensure no pages are missing from the Maintenance Control copies.

m. Issue a maintenance release number after being satisfied that there are no open items and that the logbook has been properly completed IAW GMM procedures.

n. Ensure information in the DMI data base is current and accurate.

0. Ensure DMI troubleshooting is accomplished in a timely manner and that all maintenance troubleshooting actions are documented in the Aircraft Maintenance Logbook, whether it corrected the problem or not.

p. Monitor log reports for repeater items and coordinate with Quality Assurance for timely correction.

q. Maintain a Purchase order (P.O.) log.

r. Ensure that all manuals being consulted have been checked against the current List of Manual Revisions.

S. Consult the list of Contractors/On-Call personnel to determine mechanic qualifications,

t. Perform other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

u. SMS accountabilities and responsibilities as specified in SMS Manual Chapter 2, Section 2.2 Subpart E

V. Initiate the KYE 5004 Special Flight Permit IAW Chapter 18, when the possible need for a Maintenance Ferry has been identified.

W. Initiate a SRA in WBAT for all Maintenance Ferry Flights.

Department of Operations Support Clerk

Responsibilities:

-Perform on-going internal audits to detect possible Quality Assurance findings within the Department of Operations.

-Manage AIMS Airline Software, including Alerts and Warnings that may affect Crew Scheduling and Pilot Records.

-Assist the Department of Records with the Pilot Record Data (PRD) program and serve as backup to the Crew Records Administrator when needed.

-Assist EFB Programming Manager and serve as backup to the EFB Programming Manager when needed.

-Assist Operations Department in developing and following up on FAA letters and projects.

-Support the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot and Director of Training/Flight Standards with the development of projects.

-Work with the Efficacy/Efficiency Department in conjunction with the Safety and Security Department in the analysis of data drawing indicators obtained from different sources (Flight Data Monitoring, ASAP reports, Irregularity Reports) for the purpose of improving training.

-Any other duties as required.
